Helping foreigners
Mission
- To provide expert counselling services free of charge to foreigners, refugees and migrants residing on the territory of the Czech Republic, with respect for their nationality, race, social group, political beliefs and religion.
- To prevent their social exclusion and help them to integrate into the society.
Aims
- To raise awareness among foreigners in the areas of employment, housing, social system, education, healthcare, insurance, etc.
- To improve the socio-cultural orientation of foreigners in the Czech environment, e.g. when dealing with authorities, etc.
- To facilitate communication with follow-up services for foreigners and provide them with the necessary contacts (e.g. foreign police, regional authorities, educational organisations, etc.).

- Social counselling (entitlement to social benefits, social security issues, help in solving housing problems, assistance in finding a new job, etc.).
- Legal advice (advice on processing residence permits – temporary residence, permanent residence, Czech citizenship, international protection, etc.).
- Healthcare (health insurance issues, help in finding a suitable doctor or medical facility, etc.).
- Education (school attendance issues, offer of Czech language courses, etc.).
- Rights violations (assistance in filing appeals and lawsuits, writing court filings and other documents, etc.).
- Escorts to meetings with authorities, help with filling in forms, interpreting services (Russian, Ukrainian).
- Material and humanitarian aid.
- Information about life in the Czech Republic.
Counselling is provided free of charge.
